Hi everyone and welcome to first post of Dharavi Rocks Blog!

Here you can find information all about the very exciting Dharavi Rocks project. We’ll be charting its development, and finding out about the kids that come to Dharavi Rocks, what their motivations are and what they dream of.

Dharavi Rocks is a joint project between Acorn Foundation (www.dharaviproject.org ) and blueFROG (www.bluefrog.co.in) in Mumbai. We believe that music makes a difference. Music

educates, improves learning skills, self-discipline, self-confidence, encourages teamwork, improves social skills, temperament and community life.

Since April 2010, we have organised many music workshops and performances with Indian and foreign musicians, and we're now working on a long-term education program with a music therapist, organizing regular workshops, drum circles and gigs, planning new things ... and adding a few notes to everyone's lives!
